Fifteen Years Ago
On September 29, 1990, my wife and I became parents for the first time. Katie arrived three weeks early, and as a result spent ten days in the Intensive Care Nursury at Alexandria Hospital. Oddly, they weren’t days of worry, the hospital staff was wonderful and amazing in keeping us informed on Katie’s status and progress. It was a few days before she was disconnected from a ventilator and other stuff, and we finally got to hold her.
Today, Katie is fifteen years old. The thought of it blows my mind. She’s a beautiful young woman, a freshman in High School, an excellent writer and singer, and a smart/fun/loving person. Happy Birthday Katie! We love you very much.

Happy Birthday Katie… congrats on the 100gigs too!

Love you too, Dad! Thanks so much ^^

I remember the day your dad phoned us, we were at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California. I never heard your dad sound so happy as he told us about the arrival of his beautiful new daughter, you Katie, you never saw two happier grandparents than Papa and I at the moment we heard his wonderful news and today as we proudly wish our beautiful, loving granddaughter Happy Birthday.
Love you,
Nana and Papa Casey

Happy 15th Katie! High School already – unbelievable.

…as Stacey and I aren’t getting any younger ourselves, we have been discussing the possibility of (gasp!) finally starting our own family. As we discuss the pros and cons – the conversation almost always includes, "…if we could just have children as charming, intelligent, kind and beautiful (etc!) as Katie, Will, and Colleen." Seriously…

From all of us in Carlsbad, Ca, that is to say, Lulu, Nalani, Lucas Enzo and me, Marne
Feliz cumplianos!
Que te la pasas super bien! Te mandamos un abrazo con mucho amor y mucho carino!

And a big hug to all the Casey family….

Happy Birthday!

Dear Katie, and you are indeed dear, we hope your birthday is exciting and all that you want it to be. It was very exciting for us to have our first granddaughter. I will always remember when you and your parents took us to the airport to return to IL. I was crying as I walked up the ramp (sad to leave you) and the stewardness thought I was afraid of flying.
You have been everything a granddaughter could be and you have grown to such a beautiful young lady–God bless you always. Love, Papa and Nana

Gracias Marne! (I felt so smart, I understood all that Spanish!)

Thanks Nana and Papa, too!

Wow!!!! Hard to believe you’re 15 already.
CONGRATS and happy birthday from the Bosse’s!!!
