Letter from Mrs. King
Here’s one from the correspondence files from many years ago. A friend worked at the Martin Luther King Federal Holiday Commission, and volunteers were needed for an event they held in DC. So I helped out, mostly to be able to hang out with a buddy. But I still got thanked by Mrs. King for the very very tiny part that I played in helping make today a holiday. And I remember this tagline, “It’s a day ON, not a day off!” I need to work on living up to that.

Purple Daughters
Not satisfied with the natural hair color provided by their parent’s boring old gene pool, the Casey girls decided to jazz things up a bit. Their parent’s hair color is also changing, almost as quickly, but naturally.

Lemonheads!
Christmas came early thanks to this gift from Mrs. C, a tin of my favorite candy, Lemonheads! And I learned some history too, the Ferrara Pan Candy Company was founded in Chicago in 1908. So perhaps my ancestors enjoyed them some Lemonheads as well. I’d like to think so.
